Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was part of One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1st, 1994. He's the daughter of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where he made his own group of musicians with 3 classmates. He identified as White Eskimo. In 2009, they took part in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. There was always an interest in music. However, he wanted to become physical or legal therapy. To help support his loved ones, he took an hour or so working for a local baker. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010 and was a part of Is not She Lovely, the Stevie Wonder song. He was picked. Because of that, his band needed to be split. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles would be part of the group that was to be known as One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The band's formation took place in the year 2010 and the five members were sponsored by Simon Cowell. The group sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the competition. This led them to becoming one of the frontrunners. The group was placed in third spot behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle and won. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nonetheless paid two million dollars to One Direction for them to make a deal with Syco.
