Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is an extremely popular American after winning American Idol's first season. The show's win that catapulted Kelly Clarkson's name to the forefront, it also landed her a deal with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for a number of albums. Since then, she has released a number of studio albums. The three albums topped the US Billboard 200 chart, while others narrowly missed it. It's a major artists that have come out from American Idol. As she achieved success she experimented with different genres and themes, frequently co-writing her songs in accordance with her personal feelings. Her uniqueness and vocal talent earned her praise from critics along with a host of prestigious prizes. She's been honored with the Grammy Award 3 times. She has also appeared in television and films. She is also the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charities.
